Located 12 km southeast of Ubon Ratchathani city. Wat Nong Pa Pong mean "Forest monastery of marsh and pong"
(pong is a type of high grass). The temple is established by Venerable Ajahn Chah Subhaddha in 1954. Born in 17 June 1918 in Ubon Ratchathani. He is the prime mentor of many foreigners to fully understand Buddhist teaching. He passed away in 1992 at
the age of 74.
